@cSportDriving @koscape I really do like the music in this game, overall.
👍
(I think I've probably overdone my Lotus pics .. trying another one that had excellent music.)
😎
@MonstersGo @subchrist They can't have brown!
That's the main thing they hassle us C64 owners about.
😋
@JamesPond47 I'm pleased all beautiful intro graphics made it in there. Holding fire to crouch works pretty well. It's just a shame there isn't the smooth scrolling of the arcade game, because the Amiga could do that easily. 🤔 And you get real close to the edge before jump-scroll happens.
@JamesPond47 The next day I had to try the Amiga version.
It captures the feel of the arcade game really well.
A little less variety in the graphics — mostly the floor tiles — and the usual truncated SFX so it'll fit on a single disk. But it really works well even with single-button controls.
@Psiphor @stevecourtney79 @TEGamerUK @stewie55uk @DANIELakaDEE @Wildestdream93 @PlaystationPixy @ColonelFalcon @lilock33 @The_Top_Loader @jeffsayhi It didn't escape my notice that GoldenEye is really short on ducks..
🤔
@CrazyCollector1 That whip features too heavily on the front cover. 😋
I didn't play any of the arcade-style Indy games. Never heard anything good about them.
It was only when the Lucasfilm point-and-click adventures came out that everyone around me went crazy for the Indy games. 🤠
@njpixelgaming Love Tapper. (C64 version.)
Spent many many hours on that one. 👍
@FlightDreamz @RMCRetro @GOGcom Like Sheep in Space, where F1 is hyperspace to the upper land-mass, and F7 is hyperspace to the lower land-mass.. It's so much easier to find in a panic on the real keyboard. Similarly, Microprose games, where the cursor keys are heavily used, as are all keys round the edge.. 🤔
@RetroErks Toobin' is one of those awesome games that could only have ever come from those guys at Atari. (Those who know the stories will understand what I mean.) 😄
@FlightDreamz @RMCRetro @GOGcom But, from my perspective, it had a short but brilliant life. Which makes it easy to encapsulate all aspects of that within an emulator. (eg: WinUAE, fsUAE, MiSTer, ARMiga, etc.) 😁👍
