@SupernerdsT Far far far too hard is that Lion King.
Especially if this one was supposed to be targetted at kids. 🤔 I mean, I tried playing through it late last year, with an infinite lives cheat, and I still gave up in frustration on level two. Level two! 😮
@zappedtothe Okay, I gotta check out what you guys think of it.
I played it a ton, back in the day, both on my C64, and later on the Amiga. The C64 is definitely the more complete game. And with all that excellent artwork and music it's gorgeous. ..It's just that jousting that gets me. 🤔
@OldTechAdverts I've recently starting playing the Amiga version.
But this many years on I'm not really feeling it. 🤔
I'll come back to it from time to time. I'm sure I'll be able to get somewhere with it eventually. ⚔️ Surely it's about time I found out what actually happens in this one. 😄
@OldTechAdverts I really feel like I missed out on enjoying Ultima VI properly. I mean, I was totally ready for it, having felt that V was better than IV was better than III, etc. But I still had a C64. (Actually a C128.) And this port of VI was so obviously cut down from the other versions. 😢
@JamesPond47 @RetroGamerNatn @AlexMartinelle @bastichb64k But yeah, you are right. The Ninja in Remix did look overly angry. 😄 These days, I kinda like that there's a different version with a completely different soundtrack. It's kinda cool to feel how the tone of the game changes from the change in music. 🤔
@JamesPond47 @RetroGamerNatn @AlexMartinelle @bastichb64k But but.. I really liked The Last Ninja 1.
It was a cool game. And not too tricky to complete all on my own with a whole bunch of practice.
Sure, there was the river/swamp stone jumping. But once you know the two or three jumps to get over them, they're a piece of cake. 😉👍
@RetroGamerNatn @AlexMartinelle @bastichb64k Well, it was certainly The Last Ninja 1 ..
🤓
Unless it was The Last Ninja 2 ..
🤔
Ninja Remix?
😋
@JamesPond47 @cSportDriving @koscape I don't say my love of top-down racers is necessarily a wise thing. 😄 I blame it on arcade games like Super Sprint and my (usually failed) attempt to find something just as cool on the C64 and Amiga. 🤔 Ivan's Offroad was pretty good. And Overdrive (like Lotus) did serial-link.
@cSportDriving @koscape Also, when you're selecting tracks it's left-right for track, and up-down for landscape. It's really just a basic top-down racer. But it's got such gorgeous hand-pixelled graphics, and beautiful sound .. and I just always loved top-down racers. 😎
