@JudgeDrokk @david_pleasance @RetroGamer_Mag Sports games weren't ever anything I went out of my way to play on the C64. So I never saw International Tennis. I did have Match Point though. So I didn't feel I was missing out. 😄
@C64TimeLine That said, I was still a huge fan of Karate Champ at the arcades. There's something very particular about its dual-stick controls that was so satisfying once you'd got your head around the initial complexity of the number of moves at your disposal. 🤓
@C64TimeLine Way of the Exploding Fist was a landmark game when it arrived. IK and IK+ dominate people's memories of the C64, but Fist was the only game in this area for a good year before International Karate took over. And, amazingly, it looked *better* than the arcade game that inspired it
@RetroRacing @_GearsofGames_ @djticky2014 @bastichb64k @Handson_gaming @DazAU78 Yup, just standard Amiga GFX.
I thought, since the game was developed for PC ST and Amiga, that they'd do the 256 colour DOS graphics, and down-sample once for both Amiga and ST. But the Amiga ones here are 32 colours, so they did a 16 colour one for ST?

@CommodoreBlog The arcade game was super pretty.. But the C64 one had gone for sprites that were far too big, so you couldn't make your way around the playfield in the same way. It was too easy to get squeezed out.. 😐
@cSportDriving I think that's the first time I've seen a collision like that.
Looks good.
👍
@8BitShowAndTell Ah yeah. The old Pavloda turbo-load with verification. Which is also the Pavloda copied-tape that will load if you rewind a little an press play again 500 times during the loading process. 😄
@JamesPond47 @rexthedogge Yeah.
Hand's up who watched your guy get pulled down into the waters depths two or three times by those tentacles, before finally realizing "oh! I'm in control now?"
😋
