@JazRignall F-15 Strike Eagle II was beautiful fun to play, especially if you could wire-up an analogue-joystick adapter for the Amiga. (Which I did.) 😁
@CommodoreBlog I mean, we're not *that* far from all the manufacturing in Asia. But we might as well be on the other side of the galaxy. (Not to mention random stuff that you can't get hold of due shortages of a random part.) 🤔
@Claude1079 @michal_schulz I'll discount the dynamically-recompiled version, because I have to lose a good bit of compatibility and accurate system-timing to get there (though it runs stuff like Doom and Duke Nukem very well.) 😄 So yeah, for such an inexpensive expansion, that does a really good job. 👍
@Pixelated_Ben @CommodoreBlog Sometimes those enemy rockets just home in on you like a Worms homing pigeon. 🐦 Sometimes you come back to it and get through it first time.. 😐
Sometimes you're *this* close to throwing the mouse through the window.. without opening it. 😋
@JudgeDrokk @CommodoreBlog @Pixelated_Ben My A500 was always 1.2. Had that thing for ages before I finally got an A1200. (I was addicted to Hired Guns. I wanted the extra sound-fx and to stop swapping disks.) 😄 I never found anything that didn't like KickStart 1.2, as compared to 1.3. 👍
@000Angus000 @C64Reloaded I don't actually remember the music of the arcade game.
It was the C64 version I played the most.
Loved the ripped-off Jean Michel Jarre title-screen music. 👍 The conversion itself wasn't so good though. Sprites too big. Playfield too crowded. 😐
@ausretrogamer You get used to it.
Most of the people who couldn't get used to it have left.
(There was definitely a few of those.) But I grew up here. It's my town. I'm staying. 😎
Now earthquakes: if they come in from the land, you get that approaching freight-train rumble. Real exciting 😮
