@Bench_M0nkey @SupernerdsT The arcade game also has a ton more themed sections/levels in the game, with finish-points at the end of each with bikini-clad girls and stuff. 🤔 I bet they could have easily doubled the memory and disk required for the Amiga version to fit all that in. 😁
@Bench_M0nkey @SupernerdsT The arcade game, for comparison. And, lets face it, it was always going to be a hard ask to port this one accurately to the Amiga. With its vertical monitor, high res graphics, and buttons-for-each-hand control system.
@Bench_M0nkey @SupernerdsT Never played the Amiga version of Toobin before.
Gave it a quick try. It's actually pretty good. It's hard to do the graphics exactly, with the lower resolution of the Amiga. But they did a good job of re-pixelling the character and the backgrounds. Level layouts feel good too.
@C64Reloaded I find, once those 5G nanites take hold, it really fills out the physique. 😋
@CommodoreFormat Floyd the Droid I could never understand, back in the day — despite having instructions and everything. But, these days, thanks to the internet, I could better work out that the programming mode was useless. Just drive everything manual. 😁 Still, not a great game. But I had fun.
@CommodoreBlog Hold on.. I missed a click.
I'm just gonna go back to bed and start the day over again tomorrow. 👍
@ausretrogamer The only problem with the N64 is trying not to get distracted by GoldenEye or Perfect Dark. 😁
@C64TimeLine Combat School. 👍
A great game that I daren't play much any more, since I care too much about my vintage joysticks. 🕹️ Once I get a couple of solid joysticks built up from arcade parts I'll definitely return to it though. 😎
