Retrogaming of the 8 and 16 bit variety. That's my jam. 😎

Yeah, exactly. I only played the arcade one a couple of days ago. Trying the C64 one, the pace felt a little slower, but overall the structure and gameplay felt basically like the arcade. So job well done there. 👍 (And targets on the ground were easier to hit, which I liked.) 😁

So I did get the chance to play the C64 version tonight. It's pretty good. A bit slower than the arcade game, and not as pretty (obviously), but it's got a nice soundtrack, and the gameplay is pretty good. 👍 (I actually find the controls easier to understand than the arcade.) 😁

So many colours! 😮
This was the first Ultima I became addicted to, way back on the C64. Then I played IV V and VI, also on the C64. So I feel the need to have SID music with my Ultima gaming. 😁 But yeah, a great game. It felt very "traditional RPG", with the character creation.

It's gotta be the pile on the left really.
Basically it would be playing High Noon most of the time, then putting on that cool Rambo music to relax after. 😁 ..I'll play Transformers if I want to remember how it took young-me a week to realise it was okay not to like it. 😋

The styling of them is a little.. theatrical.
But I think it works well.
And, just wait till you get to the Ninja's and other creatures.. 😁 (Ninjas? Yeah, Ninjas!) 👍

Never played Skull and Crossbones before.
(I don't think I ever saw a cab of this in the wild.)
Just fired up MAME and had a go. Not bad. 🤔 If he did a bunch of different flashy sword moves, even though you're just pressing the button, it'd be like a proto-GoldenAxe. ..kinda. 😁

It was the Martin Galway sounds and music that really sold it. 👍

I've kinda got used to it having no flicker now.
It's nice. Should have been like this all along. 😋 There's a version of C64 Elite that's patch to run with very little flicker on standard C64's too, by erasing and re-drawing each line at a time, rather than the whole screen. 👍
