Not the a good photo, but I've just finished a surprise gift for an elderly lady I walked into in Hereford a few weeks ago. She had the most adorable terrier & they were such a pair - the dog adored her. Hopefully it will cheer up her Xmas, as she said she never had a portrait.
It's only a mock up (now need to work how to keep colours bright/transparent! in Pixlr & save as png) - another learning curve
What do you think?
Do you like this style on items such as cushions/mugs?
I fancy painting hares/pigeons next.
Tired now so will stop for the night
Will see what happens tomorrow! Light went in art studio shed so I had to put tools down....
Will I create the character I want? Fingers crossed (but not to near the eagle with that beak!).
Need to yellow the beak and put back drawing lines #goldeneagle #eagle #mixedmedia
This afternoon's progress! Worked over in pastel, testing out whether the @Hahnemuehle_UK can take my punishment... Well it can, absolute quality paper with grip .... More layers to go, but I want to keep it fun and more characterture.
Making me smile... Both our eyes meet!
@BigArtBoost When I'm not drawing in charcoal, I'm oil painting ........... How on earth this pooch started out like this is beyond me!, but line by line and brush stroke on brush stroke..... he emerges! Oil on square canvas! #funnydog #cutedog
@PaulMcCartney A 'little birdie' has told me that you love birdwatching..... This raven ended up looking magical and mysterious !! amazing when all you have is a stick of charcoal to create its character #charcoal #raven
