Amulet would be perfect for Y3/4.
Great series of books. Blends fantasy, steampunk, robots and strong female protagonist amongst others. Pretty decent write up here with some tips for use: https://t.co/juKJKn0mKy

Already had a good coffee drink and browse through this at . Great for study of classical civilisation, plus Celts, Romans, Greeks, Samurai & others. I think a catalogue might be in order.
My current TRP is now going under the bed tho. So no books until I finish!

Interesting discussion on colour being used. Was watching Spike Jonze’s ‘Her’ which is a set in the near future. The ‘making of’ doc interestingly referenced colour. Blue is very dominant in dystopian genres (a la Bladerunner). Like Jonze, Reeve paints using a different palette.

Two suggestions from me. Love Seuss’ ‘Oh the Places You’ll Go’. Great for a longer reading. Alternatively, good old Winnie the Pooh and Piglet from the pen of A.A. Milne is well suited too.

Great book dealing the loss of the main character. Lovely message. I’ve used ‘The Pond’ with year 3 successfully.

What a beautiful looking book, from the author and illustrator of FArTHER. Great Science links and visually stunning. Many thanks for the recommendation . Definitely added to our school book order when we return!

Love the storytelling aspect of videogames. There was an interesting essay I read on my cultural diversity module on Ico and Shadow of the Colossus linking to children's literature.
