After 40 hours with @robotality's Pathway, I'm bringing you my impressions on the blog. The game's been out for a while and the first wave of patches is now complete, so no better time to get it if you haven't yet. Read more: https://t.co/t06FOoZBIV
A short update on the art style of @roboticgeo's Norco: Faraway Lights, the already precious visuals just keep getting better and better. Blog: https://t.co/9X35fsGtwR
A cool contest was happening in March on @reddit over at /r/PixelArt. Static image winners were @Fawf_art, Carmelcamel, and @KDM_Games. More great artworks (and a video of all entries, including the animation category) posted on the blog: https://t.co/ErTg3n00Vn
4 days left to get on board the already-funded campaign for JRPG @ChainedEchoes. Drawn, coded, and designed by @arkheiral, it features a colorful art style with big illustrations that easily charm you into the game's fantasy/mech world. News post: https://t.co/FMMCFEGLrX

If you ever say to yourself, "I'm just going to quickly whip out these three landscapes", you're lying to yourself. 48×36 canvases, still took hours to draw. This is another practice of doing custom colors. Left to right: warm only, cold only, monochrome (single hue).

A quick example of the stylization (which isn't really connected to 3D, more to fancy shaders), turning a full-color artwork into the Atari 2600 palette. Left: original, middle: photoshop's indexed color conversion (diffusion dither, 25%), right: my take.
