@aoifefarrell So many great history books out there - I'd start with Girls Who Slay Monsters - mythology and wonderful.
Also Lily Takes a Chance - novel set in the early 20th century. When the Storm Rages is also amazing (WW2)

For children who love planes AND cars and trucks you can't beat Richard Scarry.
Remember them from your own childhood?

Every week I'll be sharing some of the remarkable young people in Be Inspired: Irish Young People Changing the World, illustrated by @GrahamArtwork
Meet Adam King - well known to many for his amazing work as a kindness campaigner. In 2020 he appeared on The Late Late Toy Show.
Grimms’ Fairy Tales
Retold by Elli Woollard, illustrated by Marta Altés @MacmillanKidsUK
A delightful retelling of five of the Grimms’ fairy tales including Little Red Cap and Hansel and Gretel. Each story is told in verse, making it great fun to read out loud.
Huge congrats to Katie McCabe and the Irish team. Here’s the illustration of Katie from Be Inspired! Young Irish People Changing the World - out this month. Illustrated by @GrahamArtwork and published by @OBrienPress
