40 minutes of points later... I'm a little unsure how the it will suss out. Too much or not enough detail is gonna be weird to nail down with so much interpolation.

One more thing I'm using a trick I learned from Surveying work, change your colours to bright vibrants and your background to BLACK, it makes it all POP and is actually easier on the eyes for long bouts of drawing. What you draw doesn't need to equal the end state.

Here the points I make are converted to a continuous raster surface. If I want a cliff I need the points to be close together see the trench at the top, if I want more of a slow slope then I spread them out. If I want it flat I use regular spacing and don't change the value.

A problem I had was I liked the colour classes on the land, but I found the sea classes made the world look too artificial (LEFT) so I made a WASH of using the calculated DEM for just the SEA DEPTHS (RIGHT). This gave the water a more organic look and the land a scientific feel.

There are a number of things to consider, not the least of which that I've never really done this method before so I'm unsure how it will work.

On the first Pacifica Archipelago map I drew a series of generalized contour polygons as the basis for an interpreted DEM.

Today is my last day of Acting in management after 2.5 weeks. I’m exhausted, partly because it’s a lot of new work but also because I really thorough myself into it to be as appreciated as I could be.

The last few weeks were a lot, I’m grateful to be shifting to 2w of vacay.

@RahulKohli13 0083: Stardust Memory and from that series the Cannon 2, they never do well but I dig the aesthetics, they always look like they should kick more ass than they do.
