Tran Nguyen is another artist I found through my work with Dan on Muddy Colors.

Tran is both a fine artist and illustrator, and I'm mesmerized by all of her work. Her art book Ambedo was one of my favorite gifts last Xmas.

I feel like the covers Tommy Arnold did for Red Rising by Pierce Brown and the Locked Tomb books by Tamsyn Muir were just money. Perfect pairing with the authors.

A highlight of the Rhythm of War book release event for me were Karla Ortiz's brilliant portraits of the Stormlight Heralds Nale and Chanalach.

As someone intimately involved in artist rights online, I appreciate her speaking out for artists on here. 💪

LUMEN 6.2 (2001)

Something of the same sense of connection can be found also in works by H. P. Lovecraft and David Lindsay, among others.
