I have ordered some ‘design your own’ face masks including these two which are based on two of my #Meissen saucers!
inlays, plates in a shape of rectangular, heart, triangles, rosettes and dots, engraved with a Christ on the cross, some characters, swans and flowers. Bone grip, engraved with a king on horseback, Meissen coat-of-arms and with crossed hammers.

A RARE MEISSEN EWER AND OCTAGONAL BASIN, CIRCA 1745
Each finely painted with a landscape scene of polychrome Watteauesque figures against a grey monochrome park setting, depicting on the basin Harlequin behind a monument, a seated lady and child, a gentleman and two ladies.
At Chiswick House the Summer Solstice is represented in the Red Room ceiling by an 8 pointer Garter/ Blazing Star positioned at the centre of the arch. Above is a zodiacal wheel containing the sign of Gemini ruled by Mercury. On the 20th June the sun moves out of Gemini into
