I found that the backgrounds were too restless with all the dithering. The new version should be a bit clearer especially the DMG version. What do you think?

OKAY THERE. the first dithering manually applied: the dark blue shadow under the legs is now a 50/50 blue-black checkerboard. Looks fine to me!

Tried experimenting more on this one.
I think the "dithering" (the checkerboard-looking arrangement of pixels) gives it some texture and I dig it. I kind of want to go back over my old ones and try it out more.

Thought I'd post some MSX from a cancelled game project I worked on back in 2019.
I ran it in 's CRT toolkit to great effect - the dithering looks like ass, in hindsight. Line shading is better!

Even a small amount of dithering adds such a nice texture to things, theres time a 3d render comes out of blender looking a bit too clean but the colour reduction when creating a turntable gif can sometimes actually improve how it looks
