Day 28: Plesiosaurus
A large extinct marine reptile with a long neck, long paddle-like limbs and a short tail. The first complete skeletons were found in 1823 by palaeontologist and fossil hunter, Mary Anning.

Day 21: Kentrosaurus
This giant had two sets of back adornment; his front was covered in small armour plates and his rear and tail were protected by sharp spikes. He also had two long spikes on his shoulders!

Probably the best known and recognisable of the ‘non-dinosaurs’, this large sail-backed reptile ruled the swamps of the Permian period, some 298 million years ago.

Day 5: Dunkleosteus
So, not a but a giant extinct shark-like creature from the Devonian period. It had a gigantic armoured head, formed by overlapping plates and huge sharp teeth.
