Was compelled to work on some 3D stuff last night and made a little test model of one of my characters to see if I could figure out UV face mapping. I may use a model like this for AKBSouthpaw characters if I decide to use 3D.

UV Mapping and setting creases is hell. Pictures show GLSL Shading + Shadeless. The textures show shading even in the shadeless. Yeah, all those UVs I had to sort by hand. Opinions?
