This is a procedurally-stepped terrain. Not exactly how I wanted it but still looks pretty cool, I think. Especially with the volumetrics and lighting in the 'forest'.

What you see in the video is point cloud in a 3D environment with some FX. We had a version with textures but it pushed the PC to its limit! We also made a volumetric art documentary project using Kinect with cine film textures, that was a challenge! Both projects were pure R&D.

Here is some more development on the character. I want to make it a lot more volumetric then this and need to make some conclusive decision on the body shape as well as the head. So all in all still planning to change this up quite a bit. 🙂😄😊#characterdesign
