Finally found a good photo from our stint on The Hobbit when was still slated to direct. Clearly a w.i.p. cut short. I had just finished working the body musculature when Weta Workshop called w the bad news. Hence its rough/largely unfinished appearance (wingless, etc).

Some digital art practice with a bit of Thranduil LOTR/Hobbit fan art.
Over all I think this was a good learning experience for trying out some stuff I haven't done before in digital art, and for speeding up the painting process in general.
