Oh well, I haven't showed you the best part yet - everything is interactive and we can navigate our boat via point ´n click 🚣🐟🍃🖱️

Some comparison renders! I wanted to keep the look similar just updated, their polycounts are only a few 100 away from each other too

Still with the character course, a semi-realistic character with a really nice polycount budget, retopo went really quick here lmao

Well - there's no PBR, the polycount still produces angular and exaggerated geometry, and a lot of textures, especially for the characters, are handpainted

It's a rather particular look, so I'd call it "stylized" for sure

Day 30 of the challenge with the theme and a stylized "handpainted" sewer Adjusted and mixed 2 other materials from me.

I finally have the of the ! Time for texturing it !! ( already started a little bit ! :) )
Its polycount is about 114 000 tris !

Dragon's going well. After I stopped to tighten my polycount budget (as it's not as performance costing on modern desktops and consoles as I thought it was), the modelling of complex characters became way easier

heres an example i found on polycount
white plastic transition to metal, vs dark plastic

Finished up some really time consuming retopo and UVs, and now I'm on to doing some concept sculpting for this guy

The concept is by , and it's for the Polycount quarterly character challenge

Progress made. Now it has a 100% working scope, completely rigged for reload and animation, and I managed the polycount down to 29.4k.

point is
- yes the post process & lighting is different (between my PC/WR/LoL)
- no the textures arent better or have a higher resolution in WR
- no the models dont have higher polycount in WR
- yes you have the feeling it's better, probably because it's on a smaller screen

hgggggggggggggggggggg hi my first attempt at sculpting anything without spending any brainpower on polycount or cleanup

For example: these cables make up like 90% of the polycount of this piece, but BOY do they look pretty in motion.

I ended up starting over completely with modeling Cassidy, this turned out to be a pretty good decision as I managed to lower the polycount as a result. Not happy with the hair as it's a mess so I'll start that part over tomorrow.
