To people referring to soil invertebrates as 'insects', I have made a visual for you. You could say this really bugs me.
Warm-up #Spectember doodle, prompt Microsopic Vertebrate. In a single tide-pool on a remote island resides the only true descendant of a once-proud lineage of tyrants.
Day 1 of #Spectember: Terrestrial cetacean
The Shovel-faced Bogpoirse is a species of burrowing cetacean from the distant future that uses hardened hairs and iron reinforced teeth to dig through the soils of the wetlands it lives in, where it preys on burrowing invertebrates.
Oh I guess for newer bug* art for #InverteFest, I have these doodles!
I named my novel characters after invertebrates. I haven't drawn the fly yet, but I have another character named for the Lucilia genus.
*bug in the most loose sense of the word, none of these are true bugs 😆
A Coal Grunter about to dine on prawn for #SundayFishSketch #Fishytheme feat. a fish & their invertebrate prey. They’re predatory fish & particularly dig prawns. It was suggested a while back to draw this Australian freshwater fish by a fan of my art. #InverteFest @NiloSinnatamby
For #InverteFest I'm sharing a bit of my art - available at my online shop: https://t.co/RMUJeZBhmz.

Our results challenge the hypothesis of an escalation of Palaeozoic marine ecosystems and shed light into the factors that determined the disparate palaeobiogeographic patterns of micro vs macrosquamous armoured Palaeozoic jawless vertebrates. Ilustration by @metazoastudio

Ecdysis is the moulting of the cuticle in many invertebrates of the clade Ecdysozoa, fascinating isn't it? The process can be quite troublesome indeed, do you wish to witness it?

#InverteFest is happening soon. If you're new here, it's a periodic event where we celebrate the often-overlooked invertebrates around us. This thread covers the details of the event, so keep reading!
WHALEFALL
A game idea I'm tinkering with. Solo, Roll & Write, PNP.
Setup: Shade in a silhouette of a whale with a pencil.
Play: Erase shapes from its body. Draw them into ocean ecosystems.
• Round 1: Fish
• Round 2: Invertebrates
• Round 3: Bacteria
