Okay this is super neat: in 2D animation tools (#greasepencil), you can create a modifier for 2D objects that traces 3D underlay stuff in your scene. This just saved me a TON of time! Now I can focus on drawing Nemo!

2D tools have been vital to pulling off the art style for the game. In addition to its default settings being great for recreating McCay's style, it lets us easily blend keyframed and puppet styles when needed.

Bringing the first scene I did a few years ago into upcoming realtime renderer Eevee and "remastering" it a bit, adding more details and making it a night scene. Fun to play with volumetric light!
