L is for

Lodden was designed by and made at in 1883. It was originally block printed on cotton fabric but later sold as wallpaper and adapted for a rug. Lodden has a very large repeat, more suited for a mural than tiles.

Did you know that William Morris was an ecologist? He rejected the chemical aniline dyes, which were predominant during his time, and he emphasised on organic dyes, such as indigo for blue.
