First time full body sculpting, retopo, uv unwrapping, and setting up for VRC from scratch! Fun and major learning experience lol.

Still polishing textures, weight painting fixes, finishing up clothes, and creating lots of blendshapes.

So. Instead of working on UV unwrapping, I got distracted seeing if I could combine Penne's ears with her body mesh. Cleanup was a pain. I think it looks better- but wonder which would be easier to pose/animate the ears of. Any input/advice from people who know better?

Honestly didn't expect to ever get decent at UV Unwrapping, but here I am actually getting okay results on the first try and it feels like a trap and there's some big deformity I'm not seeing

It's taken many months of slow, intermittent work and learning to get to this point, but I think I'm finally nearing the end of modeling Cassie's armor! All that's left is the UV unwrapping, the texturing, the weight painting... Oh boy, guess there's still quite a ways to go.

Alright! Round 2 of her is done! I turned those blocked out forms into a full ass Tippy. After two nonstop days of laborious crafting & learning. Next on my hitlist is retopology, then uv unwrapping, I'll bake her, paint her, and rig her up for animation! That'....s a lot! Still!

Rachnera's all rigged up, and the topology is optimized! Looking at 51K Faces with everything together! Body, spider body and clothes. Nice!

Next up is shapekeys / viseams, uvunwrapping, texturing, ect.

I’m not done modeling the smaller things and I still would like to make some adjustments to the ground mesh. tonight I did a little unwrapping, a little texturing, and a little post-processing. here’s some throwback WIPs from 3ds Max over the last month(ish)

If you're looking looking for a fast way to shade your hats, heres how:
After UV unwrapping, add a new texture and bake AO onto it using the following settings and click Bake in the render tab. You have to be in textured mode to preview it.

Mimic chest in After UV unwrapping, UV mapping, sculpting and texturing, I might rig and animate it, although I haven't animated anything before. Wish me luck!! ✨

I don't know if I'll take this prototype all the way to UV unwrapping, since I think I dug myself a grave with the blades of hair. I might at least try rigging it. (last image is what I've been working towards.)

Made a Ralsei model today! Just the meshing done so far, gonna finish the unwrapping, and then textures and other things tomorrow!
