Genesis Of A Hero: Part 4 takes heavy cues from the animated cinematics for Sonic CD done by Toei Animation. Such as Spaz perfectly emulating the style and Tracy Yardley drawing Sonic with similar features. Like his sharp quills and sphere hands.

In #173, Nack The Weasel’s eyes are strangely coloured a very dark red. Whereas in every other appearance, in the original and rebooted continuity they’re a light blue shade.
No Archie fact or appreciatory post today, but I’d thought it would be nice to share love and spread word on some fan projects for those wanting to scratch that itch. Especially since the series is likely to never officially continue.
There have been six different versions of Silver Sonic that have existed throughout the comic’s history. The very first appearance being in Sonic Quest #3.
Some of the alternate Freedom Fighters who Silver encounters in an a much darker future are heavily based upon characters from a fan comic written by Ian Flynn, before he became head writer on Archie. It was called "Other M" and had twenty issues under it’s belt.
Here’s yet another direct homage done by the Archie comics! Sonic Universe #93’s variant cover is one to Shōnen Jump’s most popular long-running manga, One Piece. The composition similar to the cover for it’s sixty-first volume tankōbon.

Sonic Spinball was the first game to receive a tie-in issue, with the first half being an adaptation of it’s premise. Where Sonic traverses Robotnik’s "Veg-O-Matic" fortress and encounters enemies such as Rexxon and Scorpius. (#6)
