I would have said Saga a year ago, but it’s been almost a year since was released, with no date announced for as yet.

I’ll go with Criminal by Ed Brubaker and Sean Phillips.

The Amazing Spider-Man (2018)
This is your life J. Jonah Jameson! Writer Nick Spencer presents a retrospective of the antagonist relationship history of JJJ and Spidey in a fun way. Ryan Ottley draws a pretty intense Scorpion! 3.5/5

Infinity Wars (2018)
The Infinity Stones find their rightful purpose. Somehow writer Gerry Duggan managed to put everything back in a new and mostly satisfactory way. Artist Mike Deodato Jr. was a perfect choice as the visual cosmic chronicler for this series. 4.5/5

Thor (2018)
Thor must escape from the prison of angels. Writer Jason Aaron and artist Mike Del Mundo are almost simpatico at this point, creating fantastical splendors that only could appear on a comic page. 5/5

Infinity 8
Patty Stardust must stop cult leader Ron Digger from completing his latest piece of anarchic performance art. Writers Lewis Trondheim and Kris conclude this arc with an dazzling cornucopia of mayhem, motion and imagination! Martin Trystram’s art is sublime. 5/5

The Brave and the Bold (1959-Sept.)
The Suicide Squad must subdue “The Three Waves of Doom!" Writer Robert Kanigher introduces the Squad in this wild tale of a giant heated wave and reptile! Penciler Ross Andru & inker Mike Esposito’s classic art help sell the fantastic. 4/5

Have a nice trip! See you next fall... I mean... next week!

Lightstep
The secrets of the radio messages revealed. Writer Ivan Branković and artist Miloš Slavković’s somewhat hasty conclusion to this high-concept series, where the gorgeous visuals dominate, open-ends to potential future stories that I’m not sure I’m interested in. 3/5

Return of Wolverine (2018)
A rescue turns into a run in with Wolverine! Writer Charles Soule manages the tricky gimmick of pitting X-Men against each other, with resorting to clichés. I positively love the classic look of Declan Shalvey’s art and Laura Matin’s colors. 4.5/5

I don’t remember, but did Ron Randall mention that he drew Jonny Quest, along with a slew of other Hanna-Barbara characters, for DC comics Future Quest released in January 2017? The entire 12-issue series was great, as well as the sequel series Future Quest Presents!
