Thor (2018)
Thor enters Valhalla and enlists the aid of the Valkyries. Jason Aaron’s imagination seems limitless when it comes to his knowledge of the denizens of the Nine Realms. Mike Del Mundo lovingly fills every panel with kaleidoscopic kinetic imagery! 5/5

Infinity Wars (2018)
Gamora takes on... everyone. Writer Gerry Duggan demonstrates the sheer power of the various stones, but a curious lack of consequences in their use. Mike Deodato Jr. really let’s loose in his depiction of the cosmic chaos. 3.5/5

Infinity Wars (2018)
Requiem comes for the stones. Writer Gerry Duggan keeps things moving along briskly. Mike Deodato Jr.’s art continues to be a visual feast. 4/5

Captain America (2018)
Cap single-handily takes down a Nuke clone army. Writer Ta-Nehisi Coates builds on the threads of the first issue, gradually revealing Steve’s plans for redemption. Artist Leinil Francis Y uses large panels to convey the impact of Cap’s actions. 3.5/5

Future Quest and Future Quest Presents were wonderful mashups of Jonny Quest and Space Ghost, but I’d honestly love DC to publish a straight up monthly faithful of each HB series separately.
Comico did a Space Ghost 48-pager in 1987 and a Jonny Quest series from 1986 - 1988.

Thor (2018)
What could be worst than an Odinson marrying Hela, the goddess of death? Writer Jason Aaron still astounds me with his casual use of even some of the most obscure Marvel mythological creations. Mike Del Mundo’s imaginative visual output matches up well. 4/5

Ms. Marvel (2015)
Bruno’s examination of Ms. Marvel’s powers blows up. G. Willow Wilson uses the reunion of Kam & Bruno as way of examining her powers and their possible connection to her thoughts. Nico Leon/Ian Herring do a nice job with scale when Kam shrinks and grows. 4/5

Domino (2018)
Domino wants just one night off... right! Gail Simone cleverly balances the lighter Shang Chi sparring scenes, with Diamondback and Outlaw’s attack on Topaz. David Baldeon and Jesus Aburtov’s slick, sweet sexy art makes this breezy read fly by. 4/5

Captain America (2018)
Cap must find his place in a Post-Hydra America. Ta-Nehisi Coates is writing this as an extrapolation of current events. While other writers have used Cap for similar themes, I’ve never been a ardent fan. Leinil Francis Yu’s art is solid. 3/5

Tony Stark: Iron Man (2018)
Stark hires a new employee and his day gets off to gigantic start. Writer Dan Slott starts off his run with lots of action, humor and tons of ideas. Valerio Schiti and Edgar Delgado’s richly-rendered art seems to pop off the pages at times. 4/5
