@Svengoolie Merry Christmas, Sven! I’m sorry I didn’t put you on my Christmas Card List, or I would have sent you this card of you as Frosty the Snow-Sven.

Day 6: Cover Art by Marc Swayze.
Captain Marvel Adventures Vol 1 #19
January, 1943
Doctor Strange (2015) #389
Strange cleans house! Donny Cates wrap up to the Damnation mini-event is cataclysmically satisfying. Niko Henrichon’s run on Dr. Strange should go down as one of its best. 5/5
All-New Wolverine (2015) #34
Laura gets a little help from her friends. Tom Taylor writes what should be a grim tale, in a future setting that I usually dislike, in such a fun, exhilarating way, I can’t help but love it! Ramon Rosanas’ art is pretty damn fine too. 5/5
Infinity Countdown (2018) #2
The battle for the stones rages on! Writer Gerry Duggan keeps juggling Marvel’s Cosmic without dropping a stone. The frenetic and massively detailed artwork of Mike Hawthorne and Aaron Kuder adds tremendously to the scope of the story. 4/5
The Amazing Spider-Man (2017) #799
Spider-Man is on the bench, but his amazing friends take the field! Slott’s ploy of putting Peter’s friends and family is an old one, but he uses it with aplomb and audacity! Immonen and von Grawbadger turn out astounding art as always. 4/5
Bitter Root #1
Harlem - 1924: The Sangerye Family are monster hunters with a tragic past and terrifying present! Writers David F. Walker and Chuck Brown minimize exposition and use character and action - not to mention Sanford Greene’s pervasive art - to draw the reader in! 5/5
@SuperheroMethod The art is by John Byrne & Tom Palmer from the 1st panel, 6th page of Silver Surfer #1 (1982). The only discernible difference between the Album art and the Comic art is the coloring. Relativity paid Marvel for the rights to the art, but Byrne never received any compensation.
Death or Glory #5
Glory’s salvation for Red comes with a cost. Rick Remender begins with a domestic opening and then quickly puts the peddle down for the rest of the issue. Artist Bengal is more than up to the task of bringing Rick’s words to life! 4.5/5
Mighty Thor (2015) #705
Jane sacrifices all. Writer Jason Aaron has been doing consistently superlative work on this title for so long, few issues stand out - this one does. Russell Dauterman seems to have poured every ounce of his amazing artistic energies onto these pages. 5/5
