If you are enjoying the game “Sable” then don’t forget to pay your respect to French comic artist/creator and dream master of ‘Desert B’ - “Moebius.” Who has inspired everyone from Hayao Miyazaki to Ridley Scott and so many comic artist/designers in-between.

I’ve got the book of the same name but I wasn’t aware that there was a recent documentary on Japanese anime/manga creator Satoshi Kon.
I find Kon to be a much more interesting and challenging director than the more popular/influential Miyazaki.

Is this doc’ available in the UK?

You can read @westonfront ‘s fantastic one-shot Samurai feudal Japan set strip in this week’s 2000AD. A samurai tale like no other! ;)

When Chris shared his idea for this strip with me I chuckled with glee at the prospect of such a tale.

So go buy it!

@duncanfegredo Yeah, there is a moment in the story that features that particular ailment. My grandad, who in real life was a miner, died at an early age due to lung disease. As a kid I did not understand what I was seeing when visiting him in hospital. It became a prevailing theme in the book.

Thought that I would share a few non-spoilers snap shots of my current original book work as written and illustrated by me.
Hope you like what you see, I don’t always show too much of my in-progress work but it’s always nice to have a little positive encouragement along the way.

Spent a lovely nights in the company of Graham Humphreys and friends at the opening of his art gallery display at London’s Orbital Comics. Much booze was quaffed.

I know… there are more important things in life. But you don’t mess with a graphic design classic and such evocative and mysterious iconography as the original and replace it with something so much lesser.
