@forcewave1139 @soulsweller @BadHumans @naven0m @Arc_Hound @LordEmmerich @thesnakesoup Yeah, Shinkawa's comment about Snake originally having blonde hair is very interesting, but seeing as he had brown hair in the 1990 MSX2 version and the 2004 reprint, I wonder if this idea was Shinkawa's personal interpretation.
@Arc_Hound @BadHumans @LordEmmerich
For those of you who are familiar with MGS and Yoji Shinkawa's art, I have a question for you.
Do you know the source of this illustration that appears in the flashback of Drebin and Otacon's conversation in MGS4's Epilogue?
@CRISIS_EDITS @BadHumans @LordEmmerich In Nojima's novel, MGS2 Substance II, published in 2015, when Raiden receives the blade from Snake, it is described as if he is holding a sword in his hand for the first time.
And Raiden has a feeling in his mind that this weapon will become a symbolic weapon for him (4 and R).
@CapLagRobin @LordEmmerich @zin56895238 The red armband Ocelot was used in the rough sketch of Ocelot and in the scene where he is walking on the beach in Cyprus.
At the time of the GDC2013 trailer, Ocelot was not wearing the armband on his coat, so I wonder if the idea of CQC training was already lost by this time?
@LordEmmerich The high-graphic Volgin was used in the promotional visuals for MGS3D, released in 2012, and in new artwork for MGSSOP.
Could they have appropriated these graphics and brought them to MGSV:TPP on a low budget?
@LordEmmerich @CapLagRobin The illustration of Raiden in the art book that came with the premium package of MGR also had the yellow eyes thing.
Raiden's eyes glow red when he Zandatsu, so his yellow eyes may also be changing from blue eyes due to cyborgization.
@CapLagRobin I remember that the visual of Raiden shown at E3 2009 was changed to a blue-eyed Raiden in the puzzle game "PIECE WALKER" made to promote MGSPW in 2010, but the official visual of MG25th kept the yellow/brown-eyed Raiden.
