Overall, a pretty varied and well-supervised episode. really love the drawings of Li and Meiling in particular.
The episode ends with a very heartfelt exchange between Kuromi and Baku, making this episode not only one of the show's funniest, but one of its most emotionally satisfying.
it really is the whole package. 10/10, well done Okubo!
Once again we see one of the guiding Kanada School principles at work here: less is more.
despite how limited this cut is, how it uses those frames actually makes it snappier and more impactful
Okubo's strong direction also applies to a lot of the visual jokes, like Kuromi just turning to stone and crumbling on the spot.
like holy shit... LOOOK AT THIS...! I'm honestly in shock that this is all in one continuous cut, and with such an efficient frame count....!
The Kanada School is truly undefeatable...! 🙇🙏
oh god wait, some of these are REALLY cute too....!
As it turns it, Baku was in fact an M this whole time.
Cute Kuromi is both adorable and very cursed lmao
We also got a double "onegai" this time! unprecidented!
This might be the most expressive Kuromi has ever been, and easily the stretchiest she's ever been
