V excited to start this mini project with Y8 in our whole school ‘Big Read’ week. As part of their ‘Our Town’ project, students will read poems by local people about memories of Cramlington, and create mixed media & digital illustrated pieces in response to what they’ve read.

@DarrellWakelam @NASASTEM @NASA I’m really looking forward to seeing how her work evolves. For GCSE she created this beautiful set of drypoint prints too, inspired by the 50th anniversary of the moon landings #Worldspaceweek

For anyone looking for quick and easy ideas for photography lessons, here’s a great mini project that I’ve done with my students. All you need is some thin wire(cheap florists wire works well),blu tack, paper, mini torches and something to take pics with. Take a look @Twizzella

I love the summer holidays. This will be my 7th year doing #drawingaugust and I’m starting to think of a theme. Last year I drew 31 responses to my fav music, the year before was films, then books. Not sure what to do this year? Anything other than the theme of isolation 🙄

For anyone looking for googly eye activities, just letting you know that you can also get massive eyes(a big circle of white paper & black pen would also be a cheap substitute)

The results of handing out googly eyes to my Y10 photography students. Lots of smiles, lots of laughs and plenty of creative mischief. They’re everywhere now! Just perfect 😊
