My huge gap as a comic / graphic novel fan: Marvel & DC Superheroes. But my daughter and I got lost in our discussion about Raven - the characters, story, the art! Beast Boy is preordered and I’m wondering where to start with the history of Teen Titans. Am a hooked late bloomer.
Looking for short story collections for my nearly 13 year old daughter, that shift away from Upper Primary and right into early YA. Have been browsing but recommendations greatly appreciated! @MissMisch77 @bysarahayoub @EmilyGale @NovaWeetman @kmjgardiner @textpubYA @LoveOzYA
@Matt_Halpern @MarkPett Thanks I don’t know this and it’s always wonderful to discover more. When I’m home I’m going to choose others, but here is one. I’m sure @Mat_at_Brookes, @marygtroche, @OvendenLaura and @GalwayMr have some excellent ones to share too.
@BellisDoesBooks @ThePrintMum @faeryartemis @Readitdaddy @BookBairn @bookloverJo @Misterbodd @smithsmm Fantastic Daisy Artichoke
@denabooks @kmcmac74 @knott_michele Pie in the Sky by @Remy_Lai has been one of my favorite reads this year. Also, The Muslims by @Zendibble is very funny.
#Lob by @lindanewbery and illustrated by @pam_smy supports children’s awareness of and connection with the living earth, based in Green Man mythology and Deep Ecology. These stories are needed more than ever. #ClimateChange #EarthLove.
@Mat_at_Brookes @nickswarb @spinningzoo @royjamesmoss @one_to_read @Alibrarylady @jonnybid @OvendenLaura @MrEPrimary @jack_m_brown The Land Behind The World, The Girl With Silver Eyes, Mouse Tales.
#RedSkyatNight is a picturebook for making us more aware of our ecological connections through everyday sayings and observations of nature, and the paper art on every page offers a microcosm of this beautiful earth. Reminds me of childhood with my father! Thanks @theaterclouds
@theshenners Thank you! I’ve just preordered Pilu of the Woods.
