Another giant: the Mojo 2018 Humpback. The new Mojo #whales are among the best ever made, but they're really hard to get here in the UK...
Some more big #whales. Here are the two Invicta Blue whales, original monochrome and 1990s painted one. Then we have the 2018 Mojo Sperm whale (with detail of its fantastic face), and the 2010 CollectA Sperm whale (which isn't that great, sadly)...
Next up: more Killer whales. The 1991 Safari orca (with calf), both part of the Monterey Bay set. Then the 2017 Schleich one, and the tall-finned 1996 Safari one... #orca #killerwhale
@CentralCenozoic @paleo_pop I wrote some articles on them at #TetZoo back in 2008, though they're now a bit out of date. Part 1: https://t.co/siBUUKgt7j and Part 2: https://t.co/GayeYuqNwE #mammals #fossilmammals #Cenozoic #astrapotheres
There are a whole bunch of great toy cetaceans that you might not be aware of, here are some of the ones I have. Pacific white-sided dolphin, Pygmy sperm whale, Long-finned pilot whale, Blainville's beaked whale. Neat, huh? #animalmodels #toyanimals #whales
My 2019 article on @ProfGemmell's research on #LochNess and #eDNA is also available at the BBC Science Focus site: https://t.co/nUNjxzEs4B #Nessie #cryptozoology
If you've been following the #TetZoo articles on alternative timeline dinosaurs... there's more. @cmkosemen and @simonroyart have released the products of their own dinosauroid project, and it's a thing of wonder. It really should be made into a book... https://t.co/sJpOSQJHcz
@ajcubbon @Joe_Rohde Finally, there is direct fossil evidence for comparatively large remiges in some of the animals concerned, one of the best examples being the mid-sized dromaeosaur Zhenyuanlong (art here by @JCTArtStudio). #dinosaurs
For reasons, here's the 2013 version of the #TetZoo article 'Quetzalcoatlus: the evil, pin-headed, toothy nightmare monster that wants to eat your soul'. It's all about the 'demonic Quetzalcoatlus' #paleoart meme https://t.co/DyDfNeRoQA #pterosaurs
