It doesn't look like much (yet), but this is one of those foundational things from which so much can be built off of. Not just for this mode, but for Arena mode as well. I don't want Arena mode (or whatever I end up calling it) to be just dogfighting some randomly placed planes.

Though I don't hate them, I went with grass since it's a more modern take on the same thing, but still fits into the style.

Just looked at it very briefly. It's not the most straightforward thing to use, but it can definitely do things.

Yes you can! UI works down to 640x480. Actually playing might be tough though, because HUD and instruments are designed around 1024x768. Photo mode also has a toggle for taking low res screenshots, regardless of what you have the game running at.

I am so very jealous of the ability of old games to just draw lines where/when they want to. I was able to write something to kind of do this a couple months ago, but it's not easy to use and very prototypey.

It's definitely still worth a look, and there are absolutely things that I like about it and think are really cool. The missiles for one I love in this game. I just never got into it the way I got into the A-10 games.

I'm so happy that I spent so much time earlier on with standardization and some small Editor-side tools. Adding a new vehicle is as easy as dropping the model onto a prefab, then clicking the "Auto-assign references" button.
