Put color on yesterday's lineart, came out better than expected. Very slow though, haven't painted in a while.

Not sure what this is, but I like it! I think I should have designated days for random experimentation...

Still leaning towards adding too much contrast in the light side. The jaw and neck area looks great though

Brighter light from 3D reference. Gets tricky with the bright reflected light

Rushed sketch made it hard to put values in the right places. Nevertheless study served its purpose. Next! :P

Had trouble with the drawing, moving on regardless was the wrong choice. Branch looks nice though.

Satisfied with the direction this is taking, I want to take more sketches from design to rendered colors like this

Scaling up and cleaning seems to retain the energy of the sketch much better than inking.

Color plays a bigger role than I like to think, viewers came up with names & stories after I added the wacky colors

Made a Donkey Kong. Experimented with a block-in with mspaint-brush and layers for shapes, then blend. Liking it.
