@CommodoreBlog @lukhash Bruce Lee!
Such a beautifully simple fighting/platform game.
@000Angus000 @rexthedogge @CommodoreBlog Sudden realisation: Oh yeah! In Amiga/DOS UFO: Enemy Unknown, you can't rename your planes to sensible things like "Intercept US Plasma 1", and you can't disable one of the weapons in the dogfight, or copy+past soldier inventories. How do you survive with these restrictions? 😋
@000Angus000 @rexthedogge @CommodoreBlog Oh, and also, how else would I be able to post these glorious screenshots if I weren't running it in emulation, eh? eh? 😋
(Disclaimer: My last two "real Amiga's" were donated to people who still love to tinker with the hardware, so I'm happy to know they have a good home.) 😉
@CommodoreLad @CommodoreBlog Despite the "x is better than y" arguments, I really did enjoy the variety of machines back then. I had my Atari-console friend, my Apple II friend, and my Speccy friend (as well as a few, like me, with a C64.) Also we had Apple II's at school. ..I loved seeing the games on each.
@000Angus000 @rexthedogge @CommodoreBlog Hmmm. Strange you never had problems with it. I originally ran it from some disks that "fell off the back of a truck." But nowadays I installed it from proper CAPS images, I think. But somehow I would occasionally get a crash when loading the battlescape. 😐 Just a black screen..
@CommodoreBlog See, now why would anyone these days even be talking about whether to play Carrier Command on the C64 or ZX Spectrum? If you want to play the best version of that, you play it on the Amiga. 😎 As for C64/Speccy comparisons, just try both versions an stick with what you prefer. 👍

@CommodoreBlog @000Angus000 @lukhash On one-player, the CPU controls the black spy. 🤖
The "Level of Difficulty" setting sets the size/layout of the building. (Level 1 is a wee six-room building.. The later ones are 30+ rooms over two levels.) The Computer IQ setting changes how quick and smart the CPU player is. 👍
@CommodoreBlog @lukhash Brilliant brilliant brilliant game, that Spy vs Spy. 👍
I don't think there was anything else quite like it on the C64. (Excepts Spy vs Spy 2 and 3.) It's almost the perfect two-player game. And they managed to make it real entertaining to play it as a one-player game too! 😁
@Lord_Arse Huh.. interesting that the map icon is different.
(Tries to get the exact same screenshots from my set of screenshots, for no particular reason.) 😎
Brilliant game. 👍 Love it, when I'm not burning with the rage of a thousand suns for dying in the same spot for the 50th time. 😋
