Even the bosses and the 3D sections.. everything feels just about the same (but a ton prettier) after coming to it from the C64. But, while some sections are tricky here, on the C64 those same sections were sometimes just rage-quit tricky for me now. (Not so bad for young me.) 😁
@merman1974 @JamesPond47 Definitely. I went and played the arcade game in MAME a couple of days later, and was really amazed at how well the levels matched. The C64 version was just a bit harder, because upper/lower levels were more often off screen, and jumping between them was slower.
@CommodoreBlog GoldenEye! Still one of the best N64 games. Rare could do no wrong back then. And then they brought out Perfect Dark so we could do it all again. 😁
@rexthedogge I love Revs, and Revs+. The sound is merely functional, but if you hook up an analogue joystick, or paddles, it becomes such an amazingly good racing simulator. It's really unforgiving. But persevere and you'll find it so exciting to get through to the finish line in first place.
@000Angus000 @I_Am_JPage @JazRignall @UridiumAuthor You want a dramatic picture.. put a couple of mother-lovin' 721 Battle Droids in there. Attack them with a kick-ass sentinel droid. (821 - my favourite.) 😁
Now you've got drama.😋
@000Angus000 @rexthedogge The author worked on an AGA version of this too, yeah? Though it never got released. 😐 I've got a teeny tiny credit in there for nagging them for analogue joystick support and making the adaptors. Quite a cool game, though I was never able to work out the weapons. I just fly. 😁
@JudgeDrokk I just adore these weird tape covers.
Though Beach Head II kinda makes it look like the hero is the Karate Kid, a few years later, when he's much more emo, and just got over some really bad substance abuse. 😋
