@rexthedogge Sentry? Nah, it will always be called The Sentinel to me. 😁 (Best played on the Amiga IMHO .. the 8-bit machines really did struggle to draw those filled polygons - though the panoramic drawing-method was an inspired way to speed things up.) 👍
@ResetC64 @C64Reloaded @RetroFeeder ..it really is gorgeous though.
IO both looks stunning, and you want to turn the sound up because it's got perfect SFX to match. 👍
@ResetC64 @C64Reloaded @RetroFeeder Yup, this is its real failing: rock hard, and as soon as you die an loose your power-up's, you might as well call it game over. 😐 But the game has the most stunning graphics/sound/design so I *really* want to like it. 😐 The only reasonable way to play it is with cheats. *sigh*
@davidmt @ScubaChris72 @C64Retweets Hmmm.. Looks a teeny bit better than the official loading screen. 😁
@CommodoreBlog That they could actually be decapitated was quite a talking point at the time IIRC. 🤔 It made two-player games an interesting challenge. My brother would come in for the decapitation move, and I'd try to counter with a head-butt. Great when it worked. Very final if it didn't. 😋
The first level has a sink that is drained when you collect the plug, and then a huge toothbrush that partially blocks your path to the exit. The next one has a teapot and can-opener that drop stuff. And then there's the massive plane you have to drop into, then parachute out of.
@ArtstateDesigns Such amazing pixel artworks in this demo.
And, no AGA at all. No no no no! There's no ..
@ArtstateDesigns I've really been having fun checking out some of the old demos. I presume you've seen Arte? I was blown away when I saw it on my friend's A1200. Even more so when I saw that my old A500 was capable of playing it too. 😮
@rexthedogge Star Empire? I thought it was just "Empire." Did this get a different name in the US of A?
A funky Sci-Fi game with a retro look that I had a soft-spot for. Even though it had a huge amount of the gameplay details made no sense if you analysed them too closely. 😁
