@RetroBrothers Yeah. Exolon was very very good.
I don't think I'd seen another game like it at the time.
Loved the run-and-gun nature of it, while always rushing to get those rockets launched. 😄
@C64Reloaded Trailblazer is technically very impressive.
You had to put in a lot of time, get good at memorizing the courses, and have a responsive joystick. (Though, thinking about that a little more, I think I've just described half of the C64's games.) 😋
@ColonelFalcon @stewie55uk @wotnogravy @welshGCC @WelshRetroGamer @swooper_d @GDHCAMERO @EllipseEnt @Ghost_In_Exile @retrokatg @bloggospow You want just one?
I'm sure I had four games all pop into my head at the same time. 😋
@Nerdweltenpod I've been loading a lot of them virtually this year.
🤓 (Thanks to the C64 Ultimate Tape Archive on archive dot org.) 😄
@C64Reloaded How do you keep finding these odd loading screens that I've never seen before? 🤔 (First Speed King, now this.)
Turn it up for that excellent bass line. 👍
@topbrewer @C64Reloaded I'm almost positive it kept on looping.
But it's hard enough, if you don't happen to get the right weapons. I'd be surprised if anyone got far enough to find out.
😄
@C64Reloaded Revs is a really excellent game.
I'd always recommend Revs+ over it, because it has four additional tracks, and a keyboard control option that adjusts to the curves of the road.
I think I played that all-blue version. I reckon the hacker just messed up the blue/red raster change.
@KariLawler Props to Dragon Ninja and Combat School for being very good arcade conversions. Also Star Wars, which was better than it deserved to be, considering how unsuited the C64 was to doing it. Rambo: First Blood Part II was one I'd load to listen to the excellent Galway music. 😋
@KariLawler Since I had a C64 for, basically, all my teenage years.. I think I've played all of them except Run the Gauntlet. 😋
Green Beret, Wizball, Platoon, and IK+ would have to be my favourites. 👍
@MikeJMika Really, there were a lot of good Mastertronic games to be had. 👍 I don't remember regretting any of their ones.
