@zappedtothe Oh yeah, I fully expect to be on my own in not disliking it. 😁 There are some crazy-frustrating aspects. The pole level is nigh-on unplayable because of the random falls from the log. (The idea is don't jump.. but inevitably you accidentally jump.) 😐 And it has a duck! 😋
@zappedtothe This is one of my guilty-pleasure games.. I fully admit that Way of the Tiger isn't good. But I kinda like playing it from time to time anyway. 😁 The unarmed fighting is the only one I'm passable at. But I tinker with the other two sometimes, because I like the gfx style. 😎
@davidmt @C64Retweets I love Pogo Joe.
This is such a good illustration of how to take a game that's good for short bursts (Q*Bert), expand on it, and make it a game that has the right kind of play-time on a home computer.
@MikeJMika I was so incredibly surprised to see Choplifter make the jump to the arcade. (So few games do that.) But then I found I was terrible at it, with all the extra firepower being thrown at you. 😄 But that's arcade games: they wanna eat all your credits. 🪙
@BitmapsRetro F15 Strike Eagle II was a good sequel. Utilised the capabilities of the 16/32 bit machines well. Though I thought they could have modelled the physics of the plane a bit better, like starting to drop the nose if you're in a steep bank.
@JudgeDrokk Oh, that really is sad. 😢
I absolutely loved Hybris.
Most enjoyable with the music turned up loud.
👍
@JamesPond47 @Lord_Arse It was so profitable that the papergirl got in on the act too. (Paperboy 2, Amiga.) 🤔 ..It was a very very long time before I knew there was ever a sequel. But for home computers only. Not in the arcade, according to Wikipedia:

@JamesPond47 @Lord_Arse I love the outrageous premise:
If they're a customer, throw a paper in the mailbox, and they'll remain a customer
If they're not, throw a bunch through their windows, and they'll go "hmmm.. what an interesting tome of informational news! I should subscribe! Thanks young man!" 😋
