Even tho 2020 has been pretty dire, I’m grateful to have painted some wonderful people. Lindsay is one of them. A radiographer who worked at Kings for 25 years, she returned when the pandemic hit to offer her services & skills to the NHS again 🙏

First layers of a new large portrait. I love this part of a painting where things are so subject to change. Drawing & redrawing & working sideways & upside down. Most of these marks will be obliterated once it’s complete.
