Something I like about this as a reference library is, the animations are actually quite dry! No stylization. They could use more weight. I bet they were procedurally generated. They are the perfect template for artists to add their own flair on top!

Properly introducing the scarecrow crew, they are the main fodder of the game and they are prone to get caught on fire and suffer other accidents.
In-game they are created semi-procedurally, changing their cloth colors and body parts.

Procedurally-generated curves for sequencer connecting 2 notes of various offsets and length. At first, I tried using a gradient to indicate a note slide, but for legibility I probably should taper the width at the points the portamento begins and ends.
