Just trying to get a hold of the basic navigation and brushes in Zbrush, it's pretty intuitive for use with a tablet, but I've mostly done stuff with mouse/trackball before so... yeah, needs some getting used to :D

The retopoed mesh is very smooth when the subdivision count is increased. Hence I import it back into Zbrush, project the retopoed mesh subdivided to ~50k vertices on the original mesh. Then I fix some details by hand. Retopo (left), Retopo + project (right), at 800k verts. https://t.co/Ko1flOkALy

I do 3d sculpt all with ZBrush, then render passes & photoshop for final touches.

I start by sculpting everything with ZBrush, then I make some renders, trying materials and light. And for final touches, I assemble all in photoshop, and paintover some details. Here's some WIP/process:

We had the pleasure of working on some of the character models for Expedition Zero. Here's some that we're super excited to share! 🎉
The child was modeled in Zbrush, retopo in Topogun and baking and texturing in Substance Painter.
I usually don't do humans in zBrush, simply because it's 100 times harder and it looks uncanny all the way through. It's really a "trust the process" to its fullest extent.
