☀️ For the Street Musicians fresco & the mosaic with the same scene were created after a common prototype dated to 3rd c. BC. The fresco is from the Villa Stabia near Pompeii, and the mosaic is from the Pompeii Villa of Cicero. Both are in the Naples museum today.

"House of Ceii". The grand fresco (my fav) with wild animals hunting at the Nile Delta was restored to its colorful former glory. Painted on the garden's back wall it expanded the size of the area and evoked an idyllic atmosphere.
