Yay! We made the impossible possible. The Spectrum version of #Hibernated2 now has a proper loader that will show a Spectrum SCR image and then load the game. You say what's so hard showing an SCR image on the Spectrum? Well this is CP/M! You just type PLAY GAME and boom!
Here a few screens from the #MSX version of #Hibernated2. On a MSX2 machine, the game will run in 80 columns! The screen was created by Spectrum graphics legend Shaun G. McClure and refined by yours truly for MSX!
You're probably wondering what the #Hibernated1 Director's Cut looks like on the #C64? That's how it looks like! As you can see, there is lots of new content in. Enhanced, expanded, waiting to be loved by you ;D
Today I finished the loader for the MS-DOS version of #Hibernated2. Works like a charm!
@RaistlinGP @Protovision64 And now guess who made the screen for Hibernated 1 😆
It is notably Vanja's first ZX Spectrum art as well.
@Dean_Woodyatt @clairezxclaire @JudgeDrokk And again. This time assuming that I wanted to draw things public because I did not get a response. Which was not the case. I never believed this wouldn't get sorted. Oh... and thank you for your research and check out this picture
@Jacob_Bogers Actually I just grabbed Multipaint and started drawing. The program will teach you the constraints of the target platform. The first pixel art I did since my childhood was this one, which is far from being perfect. https://t.co/xEjYQGu0nM
With Rabenstein, things developed well.
Unreal. #Hibernated2
Previous authoring systems (Quill / PAWs / DAAD) --> where the f*** can I save a byte?
Z-Machine : added +35 rooms with extensive descriptions and way too much code --> 100k from 128k free.
Also: mellow loading screen of Hibernated 2 (DOS) for no reason!
