77 years ago today, Yamato, Yahagi, Isokaze, Hamakaze, Kasumi, and Asashimo sank in the Battle of Bonomisaki.
I offer my sincere condolences to Admiral Shoichi Ito, Commander of the 2nd Fleet, and the 3,721 others who perished in Operation Ten-Go 1.

77年前の本日、坊ノ岬沖海戦で大和・矢矧・磯風・浜風・霞・朝霜が戦没。改めて「天一号作戦」で散華された第二艦隊司令長官伊藤整一提督以下3,721名に衷心より哀悼の誠を捧げます。
この日本を、子々孫々にわたり受け継いでいく努力を続けていく事こそ、彼らへの報恩でしょう。

In 2022, the 150th anniversary of the founding of the Imperial Japanese Navy, we have been aiming for several years to hold an international Naval Review that IJN, foreign navies, and JMSDF vessels drawn in pencil will gather.
