77年前の今日、エンガノ岬沖海戦、サマール島沖海戦があり、各地で関連の慰霊祭が行われていいます。橿原神宮の瑞鶴慰霊祭への参列が急遽入った予定のため叶わなくなり、遥拝で英霊に哀悼の誠を捧げます。
作品は瑞鶴・伊勢・長門・熊野で、いずれも捷一号作戦時のシーンです。

She is the 2nd ship of the Shirane-type DDH. With the commissioning of "Kaga", she was regrettably removed from service by her fans. In her 36 years of service, she served as a reviewer 4 times at the fleet review ceremonies and sailed 942,760.2 NM.

"Vanguard of the Ocean -Destroyer Asashio 2600-"
The theme of this picture is Asashio, a member of the 8th Destroyer Division in 1940. This is a scene from a practical training exercise for a gun and torpedo battle in a single vertical formation led by the Asashio.

本作は昭和15年時の第二水雷戦隊第八駆逐隊所属の朝潮が主題。朝潮・大潮・満潮・荒潮の順で、数千mの砲雷撃戦想定の実践訓練中のシーン。主砲・魚雷発射管共に左舷に指向しつつ突撃中で、まさに魚雷を放った瞬間です。

　本作は、エンガノ岬沖海戦で対空戦闘開始直前の様子を描いたもの。艦尾側背後には「五十鈴」、艦首側には「桑」「瑞鳳」「秋月」を描いてあります。
戦艦「日向」を描くにあたり、これと対称的な構図を検討中。

【作品解説】航空母艦「蒼龍」
本作のコンセプトは『龍図』。『昇り龍』に見立てた「蒼龍」に対し、龍の形をした雲が『下り龍』となる。ギャラリートークで必ず観覧者の皆様に龍を探してもらうために一緒に眺める作品。ギャラリートークイベントの開催が難しく、ネタバラシ！

Today is the 75th anniversary of the sinking of the battleship Nagato. A memorial service will be held today at Sumiyoshi Shrine in Shimonoseki city, Yamaguchi Prefecture, where the spirit of the gods was divided into shrines that were once located on board the Nagato. ↓

本日は戦艦「長門」が沈没して75年目あたる日。同艦内神社の分霊元の長門國一宮住吉神社では、本日慰霊顕彰祭が斎行されます。参列の上、「長門」を描いた鉛筆画を奉納致します。
長門艦内神社の御神霊、艦と共に戦った先人たち、艦の艦霊の安らかならんことを。
画像は5年前に同社へ奉納したもの。
