Unfortunately, I couldn't finish my pencil drawing of "Asama" in time for today, the Navy Day.
I just finished the drawing, so I won't be able to show it off until tomorrow. But I'm happy that I was able to put the date 5.27, the Navy Day, on the signature!
"The First Fleet on the attack 2565.5.27"
“Enemy fleet sighted alarm, Combined fleet to sortie, attack, weather clear but waves rough”
This drawing shows the 1st fleet plowing through the waves. From the van are Mikasa, Shikishima, Fuji, Asahi, Kasuga, Nisshin, and Tatsuta.
"Endless Dream - Aircraft Carrier Shinano"
The huge aircraft carrier "Shinano" was built as the third ship of the Yamato class, but was redesigned to be an aircraft carrier and died only 10 days after its completion. This work depicts her as she was originally intended to be.
"Aircraft carrier Shoho -Nakayama Mitsuo launches his plane-"
This painting was commissioned by a person who had a close relationship with Mr. Mitsuo Nakayama, who was a fighter pilot aboard the Shoho during the Battle of the Coral Sea. The pilot in the picture is looking at you.
"Protected Cruiser Unebi - Illusion: The 135th Year of Voyage"
Finally, I'm in the final stage of drawing. It is a depiction of the crew on the ship. They were lost during the voyage, and after 135 years, they are heading for Yokohama port, looking at the "symbol of Japan".
