Visualizing a 3D procedural texture projected from an object. Need to refine the shape more, but this can be used to create new Normals in the material and use them for shading, rather than the real geometry's normals. Can have clean shading regardless of topology!

It took some work, but I got Freestyle Lines behaving very nicely. Now I can do different angles! It took multiple linesets to deal with chaining issues. Still problems in the hair due to intersections, but hard is always a problem

People were asking if I was using Inverted Hull lines, or if I would have them when this gets released. I've set them up and will leave in the file, but you can see why I'm not really using them. They could be improved with weights, but overall mesh is too complex

Okay here we go with another round of colors based on previous feedback+requests. I've also restructured the node group to make it easier to adjust. There's some tricks here, like those black edges on the white hexagons are negative gloss color values.

Metallics can be difficult with Eevee toon shaders because you can't have them properly reflect the world in most setups (for technical and/or stylistic reasons.) You can make them more interesting by matcaping a procedural texture to fake some reflections.

Trying out some crazy color combinations that people suggested or requested. Luckily it doesn't take long to change a few colors and render! Do you like any of these in particular? Also made some upgrades to the metals by giving them some fake reflections!

The next pattern attempt: toned down the color contrast of the hexagons and returned the dots because ppl liked them. Hexes are a bump map with blue gloss edges. Also trying a fade on the hair since it takes up so much canvas, but not sold on it.

Using that Hexagon pattern for some colors and a bump map (inverted on the red tiles.) Still not sure about final colors, bump intensity, or pattern scale. Is it too busy? Is the flipped color version better?
