The usual methods of real world terrain + some (a lot of) decimate doesn't really work because with few polys, it just looks like noise and you lose the recognizable structures.

I think I've narrowed the plane list down to 4 planes that absolutely NEED to be in the game, and by getting them done I would cover pretty much every major feature of the game. 2 of them, the MiG-21 and Jaguar, are already in the game.

Yeah, it became especially obvious once I tried mixing the visual markers with the radar contacts. It was weird how up close, markers get replaced with less informative radar contacts, but that's when I noticed it really looks like health bars. (Near is enemy, far is friendly)

I was getting tired of always using the gun against these boats so I added a new air to ground missile for the MiG-21: the Kh-66. It can be used against both land and sea targets.

Finally got Cuba working. While it seems to lose a lot of the impressive quirks of the original game (mainly the interactive map), the updated graphics are ace.

Very loosely based off of the Fulda Gap area in Germany. Kinda makes me want to throw together some quick tank models because I haven't tried doing that yet.
